After La Pātisserie, I was eager to tackle Middle-Eastern sweets again, as my original "Arabic Sweets" icon set of 2002 was no longer up to scratch in my eyes. So I bring you a new collection of sweet pastries and desserts from Lebanon and the region.

I thought baklava was just Greek. I guess it's also popular in the Near East, because of where it is in the Mediterranean.

It's not originally Greek at all, they got it from Turkey. The word baklava comes from arabic baqlawa, and the ingredients are purely Middle-Eastern/Central Asian.
