From wikipedia: Although wujūd وجود is usually translated as "existence, presence, being"... "its original meaning is the 'being found'. This 'being found' is sometimes described as the final stage of fanaa in which one is immersed in the existence or finding of God while all else is annihilated."
It's actually the step that comes after , and the two words differ only by one letter in the original script (وجد وجود)

Materials: Acrylics and gilding on 300g Cotman paper. The total paper size is 50x50cm.

I actually completed this in a single sitting, despite the design that was more complex than usual. It's not quite as complex as it seems, though, as all measurements are related. There is numerology within the geometry!

That is really cool my friend! I read about the sufis last term, it was really fascinating Fanaa was talked about a lot. I really enjoyed the poetry. I really like how the half circles seem to be embracing the golden spheres.
