Big Guide to Drawing the Body by Majnouna Big Guide to Drawing the Body by Majnouna
This is the revised and final version of this tutorial, though some details are not included I'm including them exclusively in the book :)

Hands have their own tutorial here:
And feet here:
All my tutorials are listed here: [link]

Get all of my human anatomy tutorials in one convenient book or e-book!

Some advice to use this tutorial:

Use the above guide as a supplement to gesture drawing. Reading and memorizing all this won't help you as much as sketching from life; this guide simply provides the understanding that will make your sketching a learning experience rather than a random process. So, carry a sketchbook around and gesture-draw people around you, especially people in motion. This way you are forced to use fast gesture drawing and not go obsessive over the details, and that is how you can achieve a solid grounding in grasping form and movement before moving on to worrying about surface additions such as clothing and expression. Think of the human body as an assortment of volumes, not as lines put together. This will change your life, trust me.

Now about the tutorial itself. It is large, so if you find it intimidating do start with my much smaller guide right here: [link]

Used painting program to cut frontal head/ body proportion guide to measure it with animated movies.
I measured many animated movie characters to see their disproportions.
I was amazed.
The proportions were just stretched.
Some heads were narrower, some were wider.
Chin could be bigger than forehead, or opposite.
I measured "Code lyoko", "Despicable me", "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", "Titan After Earth", "Ghost in the shell" and "Anastasia".

"Titan After Earth", "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" and"Anastasia" had least face/ body reshaping, making them much more realistic, compared to "Despicable me" and "Code Lyoko".
Other movies had big foreheads or big chins.  And very wide or very narrow heads.
But Now I see. Artists just play with one human anatomy template, creating various character design.
Now I see, that every character which was human is human after all.
They all come from the same template.
I was blind before I measured them with this guide.
Thanks for this guide.

Before this guide, I was yelling and hating

"Despicable me" for its style and not only this movie.
But now my hate is gone.
I started to understand more.
What a fool I was.

Extremely helpful! I have a MUCH better understanding of the human anatomy! I will definitely reference this :D
One thing though, doesn't the distance between the wrist and the elbow remain the same when the arm is bent or straightened?

Pardon for asking, but when I bend my arms I can't touch the ground. Does this mean I have a proportion problem? :O_o:
