Drawing Hands by Majnouna Drawing Hands by Majnouna
Finally expanding that section of my Guide to Drawing the Body :D I hope it helps. I can't emphasize it enough, though: the best thing you can do to learn how to draw hands, is to look at hands!

I like how you say to visualize them as cylinders. I always visualized them more as fat, kinky (no, not that kind of kinky) noodles.

I used to model my own hand and then take a picture of it to draw hands properly

Haha, yeah. I've never found hands that hard to draw, I don't know why. Usually I can just draw them how I like, and when I can't I literally just do whatever it is with my hand and look at it. And if I'm having a lot of trouble (an odd angle or perspective) then I'll take a photo, but that's rare. Feet, on the other hand... ermygosh, I can't draw feet worth crap, no matter how many times I look at my feet, take pictures, and look at guides. My feet drawing skills are hopeless! XD At least people wear shoes most of the time... But anyway: this guide is really nice, majnouna!

Sorry if this has been asked before/is obvious, but can I use those pictures at the end (As well as the tutorial in general) as base reference images for 3D modeling?

I know you have heard this million of times before, but think you for making this! I sturggle A LOT with hands. But seeing how the joints don't line up, for some reason helps me. I feel dumb saying that but this is by far the best hand guide I have found.
