For years I've been handpicking interesting beads and pendants while traveling around the world or through exchanges, and it's time for them to come out of their boxes and be worn. To this end I'm making these necklaces, seemingly random assortments of beautiful and meaningful beads, till I run out of them.

This necklace features:
- A silver Ethiopian cross I picked in Lalibela.
- A natural Baltic Amber bead from a small store I have, brought out of the USSR by my grandparents 50 years ago.
- A Hilltribe Silver bead I picked in Chiang Mai (this is 95-99% pure silver made by the Karen in northern Thailand)
Other components include Peruvian and Indian handmade beads.

Wow! That's a necklace with a story! I love Ethiopian crosses. I took an Africa before 1800's course at university a couple of years ago and it was so fascinating Africa is definitely one of my big areas or interest historically. Lovely work!
