Guide to Movement1:Flexibility by Majnouna Guide to Movement1:Flexibility by Majnouna
Get all of my human anatomy tutorials in one convenient book or e-book!
With my martial arts practice, which involves separate training to develop our body's potential, I've long felt like doing a guide about movement, but the subject is so vast I didn't know where to start. It's during a grueling stretching session that it occurred to me that flexibility would be easy enough to corner, for starters. So there you have it, and I don't think I've ever seen an artist's reference for this stuff.

No bibliography included, this is all straight from my head (except for the numbers), after 7 years of practice and 2-3 of training for an instructor degree.

Read the introduction and disclaimers before giving feedback. Those who don't read, or ignore what they read, will be flogged equally.

Actually, to be on the safe side, here are my disclaimers:

Athletes will immediately notice I am simplifying the material. I readily admit I am adapting the material to artistic purposes and this should NOT be used as a reference for physical activity. I am not responsible for any injury that may derive from using this for purposes other than an illustration reference.

Double-jointed people, contortionists and anyone who's undergone intensive flexibility training from a young age are considered exceptions and this guide won’t attempt to take them into account.

Thanks and enjoy!

Amazing guide to flexibility, thanks!

Many commercial artists break these rules and I'm glad to have found a guide that explains the natural extent of a human body. Really like the bits on the spine and our range of movement aided or unaided

The text is hard to read but other then that is an amazingly wonderful tutorial on movement! I was in martial arts for sometime and what I've read so far is so accurate and helpful for someone who knows nothing about it! I'm using cause I suck at drawing but steadily improving ;P

Well, this is very impressive. And helpful. This seriously must have taken forever, what with all of the diagrams, text, and experimentations with your own body, and it's much appreciated ^_^
