Malaak II p25 by Majnouna Malaak II p25 by Majnouna
Good gosh, a daytime scene! :P Really cute interaction between Tareq and Malaak here, translations:

Shu sayer beddeneh? What's the world coming to?
Min aam byehke: Look who's talking.
Kaak (or a kaakeh) is a kind of rough bread that is hollow. You buy it off the street and the vendor stuffs it with spices and maybe some cheese for you (you can see him making the hole in it with his thumb here). This is usually my breakfast.
Elleh sayer: What's happening is ...
Lamba: lamp, lightbulb. Calling a person that actually means they're the contrary of bright.
Lek mwah: Not translateable, but do I really need to?

I get waspish too if I'm trying to focus and someone comes make noises next to me...

This page is dedicated to our cat, who suggested the pose; my kaak vendor, whose mistake in dosage one day gave me the idea for this transition scene; and in particular to Café Younes which has become an essential part of my work process ;)

Guest appearance: ~Sphenacodon and ~YazzyDream :D

Does that cat belong to her and she brings it around places? Cuz I just noticed it shows up in a lot of pages. It looks just like my cat. :)

I love the cat, of course. That is a beautiful little cat. Looks like a slightly abstracted Abyssinian from the shading. These little details make the characters come alive!

They are a great breed -- and those little details bring your story to life so well. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and all excited about your current progress! I read on some more naturally!

This comic was hilarious! Ah, the *look* on Tareq's face! "Uh... what just happened...? Hi cat."

This is my favorite one in a while actually! Tareq rocks.
