Malaak II p35 by Majnouna Malaak II p35 by Majnouna
7...

You know, I realized I was, as we say, "making knots in my life" – the page rendering is getting increasingly complex and I can't be content with anything less every time I reach a new degree of elaboration :P The amount of attention I lavish on tiny things is getting ridiculous, and ridiculously time-consuming :psychotic:

I'm pretty pleased with this layout, it was a sudden idea while I was placing my sketches :D

I've always been a big fan of your layouts. Special love for the curved edge to Malaak's big final panel--echoes the smooth scything motions of her attacks. And your details are deeply beloved of mine. (For example, I am, like, ridiculously pleased by Malaak's lightly visible kneepads in every scene where they would be noticed.) And Adrian's costume here--it is so obvious that he's really enjoying the chance to play Friendly Neighborhood Batman. ;)

Thank you for your diligence/persistance/magnificence on this project. I am buying as much Malaak as possible the second I am able to. Then I will recommend it to everyone in shouting distance. :D

Aw gosh I love you  You noticed the knee pads! Wee! It's so good to know there are people who really look at the small things! Hehe I really amused myself with Adrian's minimal yet noticeable costume changes (and the scarf turned bandana) :giggle: based on real life, too...

Yay! Thank you!

ooh. The layout is interesting, very imaginative. And I meant to tell you this before, but your monster designs are really creepy and wonderful. Very fitting for Malaak.

I must say, I can see what you mean about the detailing! But it's paying off--this whole scene has been the best of your entire Malaak series so far. :)

The layout looks really good, as does the page as a whole, and I'm definitely wondering what she's going to do next. The question mark in the last panel looks a little out of place to me, though; I'm not quite sure why.

Thank you! I kind of see what you mean and I'm not set on it. I just need to show Adrian doesn't know what's going on, but discretely.

Yeah, I can see what you're talking about, and it might not work so well without the question mark. It does work well for that purpose.
