Princesse Jii Setteseteby `majnouna

Third in my series of fantasy portraits, this piece is for *MsJ777! Why? Well, anyone who knows her can probably figure out why

The root of the inspiration for Jii is an incident that took place about 2 months ago that involved myself, a 2-month old python and my (apparently inviting) handbag. Ms. J made a comment about dancing with a snake and I had to do this...

I am particularly happy with the fact that after fearing soft brushes like the plague for so long, I decided to try and use them for the shading and found they didn't bite, after all. So that's a breakthrough for me

You did very well on this

The dance reminds me greatly of those Thai dancers who put the snake's head into their mouth. I mean, it's not just any regular your-garden-variety snake, it's king cobra! whoah. that fascinates me.
